Packaging created for a possible future food – seaweed crisps. This project focuses on creating package design for sustainable future foods, using the risograph printing technique. The design for TångChips is inspired by the marine aesthetic and nature. By incorporating a pattern that visually represents seaweed, a strong connection to the product is established. In addition to the package design, posters were created for marketing purposes and a folder was designed to raise awareness about the new seaweed crisps – TångChips.
Pattern
The pattern was illustrated by hand for the background, combined with red pattern from a classmate, Alice Ohlsson, both made to resemble an abstract version of a coral or seaweed. The patterns were riso-printed in blue and red and then digitalised.
